Concept Phone: “allow editing of the music by physically twisting and bending the phone”

bendyondoThis is one of the coolest ideas that may actually come true. German-based design firm Pilotfish said they are developing a concept phone named Ondo that will hopefully be available within the 2-3 years. This has the capability to “enable good quality recording of three separate sound tracks and allow editing of the music by physically twisting and bending the phone”.

The phone is made from form-sensitive flexible materials and specifically the touchscreen has “three ’sticks’ that can be removed and separately clipped onto a musical instrument or a person to capture live sound”.

There has been some specualtion of the need for this since by the time this acutally makes it to market, somebody might actually develop an app for it. Geoff Blaber from CCS Insight said “In a fast moving market niche specifications and applications can rapidly become standard features. We’ve seen that with cameras, positioning and a host of other features”.
