Remember a couple months ago the battle between Rogers and Bell over who has the “fastest and most reliable network”?
Rogers claimed Bell was guilty of false advertising, suddenly the Advertising Standards Canada (ASC) followed up with ordering Bell Mobility to remove the advertising as it went against the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards with it campaign “fastest and largest network across North America” claiming that “the general impression communicated by the claim was that the Bell wireless network was faster than its competitors in each of the countries that make up North America, including Canada.”
Well, according to a document we received, Bell is still moving forward with being the fastest and “now has positive, independent and undisputable results that provide sufficient evidence to challenge this claim with a confident statement of our own: “Bell Internet is faster than Rogers. Period.” The results are clear and undisputable: Overall, Bell is faster and reliable. Bell clearly demonstrated a superior advantage when it came to speed. In fact, when comScore compared Bell’s 7MB product to Rogers’ 7MB product, Bell came out on top as both faster and more reliable. Period. The message will be clear: “Faster than Rogers. Period”.”
What are your thoughts? Which carrier are you finding faster? Where does TELUS fit in with all this?
ya right. Wheres the true 3G

Do you really care that much aout a $6.95 charge? All telecom providers charge a system access fee whether it shows on your bill or not. There's no escaping the meager $7.00 charge… Maybe you should concern yourself more with the cost of voice and data plans

How do we get access to these testing results? I have my doubts on this. In reality Bell's 7MB is actually only around 5.5-6MB after overhead loss, and that assumes you are close enough to a CO/DSLAM to get an optimal connection. It doesn't help that Bell and Rogers both use different technologies.

Good for Bell. If they have truer consistent results with better signal strength, that's great. Rogers' commercials were pissing me off right from the start anyways.
And anyone looking for the answers to the tough questions, I think Bell is answering those because you know… they're kind of screwed if they don't in this situation.

bell definitely has Way Faster AND more reliable internet on cell phones ACROSS Canads… meny towns small cities across canada either dont have rogers GSM and if they do tha connection is GPRS or EDGE were bell have Way superior EV-DO.. side by side tests rogers drops more calls.. side by side CDMA 3G EV-DO beats GSM 3G everytime.. proven on youtube tests.. and allso proven myself.. i find rogers voice quality was way worse wen compared with bells side by side.. and over all bell han down is WAY FASTER AND MORE RELIABLE PERIOD !!! bring on any rogers device in any location i would gladly meet up to prove faster data speeds on bell… lol
telus uses bells network, i havent used or tested telus to much as they just riped me off with pay-per-use data charges (even with options) and block most of tha web, restrict so much content etc.. but i assume there EV-DO is just as fast and vast! (just more restricted and controled as to what you can do and acess) !!!

I used to be a bell customer. I switched to Rogers about 5 years ago.
Due to bell ripping me off 2 months in a row with direct payment after I cut off services to move in with my boyfriend at the time who had bell, making my insurance payment bounce and NSF charges from the Bank.
I was glad I switched because I haven't had a problem since….Not to mention I had so many problems with bell's modem and their customer service sucked
I kept telling them I had problems with the modem but they insured there was nothing wrong with it god knows how many times I had to reset it….
and in the country where my parents live the only access they have for high speed is satellite sure bell might be in more areas remember bell has been around a lot longer than Rogers so they would have more access net wise
but for wireless Rogers has them beat hands down my parents live in a dead zone and my rogers phone will work before my brother's bell phone
