Bono explains why U2 left Apple for BlackBerry

cover188Remember a couple years ago when Apple released a special U2 iPod? It seemed they were all happy together until recently BlackBerry dropped a bomb and come to the table by sponsoring their 360 tour.

What was the reason for the departure? In an article in the Globe & Mail, 102.1 The Edge DJ Alan Cross had a conversation with Bono himself and he stated the reason was “Research In Motion is going to give us what Apple wouldn’t — access to their labs and their people so we can do something really spectacular”.
