Rogers LG Neon Video Review
This little beast is meant to used for anyone who is a heavy texter. Rogers recently released the LG Neon and is certainly priced right at $29.99 on a 3-year contact.
Apart from the standard features that a phone comes with such as contacts, calendar, etc, you will notice that the Neon comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera (with video capabilities). In addition, it has a MP3 Player with FM Radio, Stereo Bluetooth, and can hold up to 4 GB of extra memory.
The overall weight of the Neon is light, only a measly 108 grams so this will not fell heavy in your pocket or hand. More importantly, the 2.4 inch screen will make it easy to write your e-mail/text messages, view pictures, games. However, using the internet on some pages did not render the pages well. We are still testing the battery life on this, but found the call quality (sending and receiving calls) to be clear.
Overall, we really like the Neon and its price point. This decent slider has a full QWERTY keyboard and comes in Pink and Grey. Check out the video review here:

May I ask if with this phone with Rogers does it enable you to make your own custom ringtones as Rogers' (at least on my phone) disables custom ringtones unless it's DRM?

As far as I have been able to figure out (i've had the phone for a month), you CANNOT make your own ringtones. I've tried everything and nothing is working. You are forced to download ringtones from the rogers music store.
Unless of course you unlock the phone, then you can make your own.

is this phone also avaible for fido? if it is or can be it would make a great editon… fido has not smartphones except the pearl and the samsung jack but this would get customers getting it…

the fido plan i will be getting is 50$ for the phone and we get 50$ back in a costco cash card but it will be on a 2 year contract i would look around a bit.

Actually, with getting the LG Neon, You can either do it prepaid, which it is $175.0o. By the way, Fido prepaid sucks. You can do it with a two year agreement, for $50.00. Or you can get it for $175.00 for a monthly plan; no agreement. If you arent able to sign a contract, that would be the way to go.

how the frig do you make it stop making those sounds when you do anything? i want them to stop.

i think you just keep pressing the volume botten down and it will say vibrate, the you press ok

When i saw the Lg Neon i fell in love with it but other people have told me that the touch screen it breaks often.
How good is the touch screen?

My wife has an LG Neon and if you hit the screen with a hammer.. yes it breaks..
so far she loves it.. took her about an hour or so to get used to it.. but all and all its a very nice phone.. the touch screen didn't feel delicate to me and i wasn't necessarily gentle when i used it. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to a drop test but I think from holding it. and using it.. it could probably take a few drops before any real damage occurred.

Just wondering if anyone else notices the same thing ==> I keep getting complaints that outgoing volume is low.
I tried it on my voicemail, and I think it is pretty low, but not enough for me to think its defective, wondering if anyone else has the same issue?

it comes with a quick start guide that tells you how to put the battery in, the sim card, the memory card, and the parts of the phone, but no real instruction manual.

So i turned on the notification reminder on txt and voicemail. and it now sends me a txt msg on missed calls.
Im not really sure how i turned this on cause i was just playing around with the phone when i first got it. now i can not figure out how to turn the notification off.

I recently bought mine from fido, but it did not come with an usb cable
I'm not sure how i can transfer the music & photos on
& i don't have the micro SD ,

It's a bit of a rip off that it doesnt come with any usb cable at all, so I have no way of putting any music on it or transferring photos. And now I have to choose between spending 40 dollars on the memory card (which comes with a usb plug that only connects to the memory card and not the phone) or spending 40 bucks on the cable to transfer photos, but not have any memory for music. RIP OFF

you can get the usb cable, car charger and a screen protector from ebay for $15 dollars.

MENU then SETTINGS then PROFILES then select the type of settings you want I always select OUTDOOR then PERSONALIZE then TOUCH & KEY FEEDBACK then TOUCH & KEY TONES then select OFF

also http://www.ventones.com will allow u to make your own ring tones and then u have to open the link they give you after making your tone with your cell browser and d/l the file u will have to still pay your kb charges from rogers but at least you get the tone you wanted and not one of there stupid ones

I have this phone for about 6 days now. I have no problem with it and I hear so much bad reviews on it. To take the sound off this phone like all the menu sounds and keyboard sounds you go to settings – profiles – general – personal and you have opition on it but i love the sound i just lower it down and yeah my girlfriend finds it annoying but ah well its my phone. I think its a well good phone and its not made cheap like most people said. The screen is solid and i dont think its possible to crack it unless your really hard on it. I just find when the battery is dying out it disconnect you from msn and u cant access it. it says network error and after alot of tries it restarts i find that weird , but its the phone it dont mean its a defect in it also when its dying the other end cant hear you good but i guess because it needs alot of battery for it to fully work good. other then that if you buy a case and take care your phone and dont drop it and ect. i mean all phones are the same these days and made really cheap so just take care of it like any other device and you should have a good working phone for along time. thats my review on the phone. i see more people like to dis this phone because they are to stupid to take care of their things and b***h on here about it. Its in fido and yeah iam on rogers and yeah its a bummer it didnt came with a data cable but yeah as far as the mp3 i dont care if u want to hear music get a mp3 player end of story.

This is a very awesome phone. Don’t put this phone down. If its so bad they wouldn’t have it on the market come it’s true they would take it off. I have no problems with it. I’am sure like most device like iPhone etc. or any other device it will have defects and problems at first thats just normal like ps2 to ps3 and xbox etc. they will always have problems at first because to make something good you need to have people advice on the device of coarse they have to make improvement just don’t buy something new right away let it come out and wait awhile until they do some fixes just like a OS to anything they’re gonna have known issue. let go out for awhile and then purchase it dont go aww its nice and i want it now.. and time just wait like i did. I also had a w580i sony ericsson and it had some issue with the keys cracking, but i never had problems with that phone i mod it and done everything that phone can be done with and never ever had problems as well i text alot and never had the phone keys crack and i didnt got it right away… you can’t base what you hear about people reviews because one person or a couple will complain about it because humans are like that they rather complain then to brag something. if the phone works good they will just say nothing, but if oh it had a problem u gonna get a like a big review of angry nerds crying about their phone. its a phone to call people and the touch screen is dumb i dont care about it and in fact i dont even use it i like the keyboard to text as well to dial. i find if your in a hurry and want to call fast the touch dial is good but other then that its pointless but i like the fact its just basic for to dial touch screen isn’t all that great and to text on a touch screen must be annoying. i love computers and keyboard and the keyboard on this phone is well made and easy to text and iam fast at it and its simple and fun. this phone is great along with LG. I dont find LG is a cheap company and they make good stuff. my 19″ lg flatron monitor is awesome i had it for 4 years and no problems and have a very nice colours and awesome for games and movies and also great for internet / documents viewing its sharp and clear. I also own lg dvd burner and never had a problem burning dvd / cd’s it works good. so dont dis a company for some defects in a product because thats with any company even microsoft mac linux os have issue sometimes that is why we have software upgrade and yah in most people case for the lg neon t365 it probabley the software and just get it upgrade thats all i hear it slow the lg neon i find its good for what it does and i dont find it slow… i had some other phones slower and never bother me. ok this phone great and all the people that has this phone and you dont have problems with it say how you feel on purchasing this phone spread the word out…. alot of people dont buy it because of dumb people reviews and posting the convo on LG and rogers .. yeah rogers service sucks so does any other phone company it sucks so thats it. the phone deserve some good reviews. its small cute and handy little device its not a smart phone , but its a very best basic phone i ever had and i like it simple i dont like to have a device all high tech because its just pointless after awhile u get like bored of it.
SO BRAG THIS PHONE BECAUSE ITS GOOD reminds me of my LG Black Label i love that little Shine phone and it brings me back in the days i had that phone and i sold it and regret it but now i got another new lg phone and i love it. The sound of the phone is crystal clear i hear so good when even i talk to someone i can hear everything in the other line background its so awesome this phone it works so well sound of the phone is great. its really well made. LG the best phones ever and yes Iam over doing this but spread the word on this phone it deserve a nice comment on it. F**k all you c***s that dis this phone.. go buy yourself a fuckin cheap bulky phone that u can drop and smash against the wall.. yeah its strong because you dont take care fo things… but u have a crappy useless features and thats just it.. something fancy and high tech its just made to be more taken care of .. you dont have heavy phones on you and light weight = easly to brake. anyways iam good with my device and iam smart when it comes to devices and iam glad i went with my feeling with the phone instead to believe stupid comments and yes it did made me think about it if it was a good phone but i took a risk and yes risk are good. the phone is good and yeah you probabley gonna hear other bad reviews on alot of phones because people like to cry alot and cant face the fact that some devices have defects and yes u can your phone replace in within a year so if you want something fight for it. if they dont want to repair it complain like u do in blogs just fight for it.. tell them you’ll leave ur contract and go to another phone company that will get them to repair or replace it with a new one. you want something in life you got to fight for it. end of story.

Ok i had this phone for nearly a month I works good nothing change in the way i think of the phone. Just the fact that i was used to a slider phone and i didnt had to talk loud for people to hear me because the mic is closer up i realize the phone is small and its away from your mouth so i have to talk louder like for people to hear me. when iam talking to people on the phone i hear really good it has a good speakers i really love that. I drop the phone twice i drop it 2 days ago when it slip out of me case and landed face flat on the screen i thought it would crack it but hey nothing happend to it. the screen is really hardcore strong and its not cheap like people say it is its a pretty decent phone and iam very well pleased with it.
Gary Thomas with his reviews on the phone great phone and people should buy it because its not all that crappy like alot dumb asses say it is.
don’t listen to people dumb advice i havn’t i got it and iam glad i didnt got the samsung gravity because i would of hated it i love the LG NEON and i give it a 10 star + after my contract is done i might get a iPhone

I just got the LG neon today and I love it so far.
I am on the Rogers network and I have unlimited Web browsing with my plan…does anyone know if this would include the email feature that this phone has? Or will I be charged extra everytime I use that email feature?

I got this phone a few months ago in August and I had no problems with it…until 2 months later, when it randomly started to shut off on its own, even when I would slide the keyboard to text a message, it would shut off. It started doing this more and more over the next few months.
I have dropped it a few times. I’ve dropped my old Nokia a few times and it was still in good condition and worked just fine. I heard LGs weren’t really good, but now I know why. This phone has turned me off of LGs for good.
Now some of the buttons on the outer pad have stopped working and i can’t slide the keyboard all the way up because it freezes. I have some friends who’ve also had LGs and they’ve had problems as well with the phone shutting off randomly and the screen freezing up.
Never again will I go near an LG phone.

btw Debi, to answer your question, I found that there’s no hands free dialing with it…you can either use the touch screen to do it (although mine doesn’t work now) or select a contact manually.
There’s no speaker phone on this phone either.

To the writer that expresses her phone randomly shuts off. I purchased the LG Neon T365 back in Dec of 2009, a Christmas present for my daughter. I have returned this device to Rogers 5 times with the same issue, Powering down on its oun. This is very frustrating. I was wondering if anyone else has been having this problem. On a positive side my wife received the same phone and hasn’t had a problem with it yet. Look forward to some feedback.

i’ve had quite a few problems with this phone i’ve had it for over a year mine when i make a call sometimes i won’t get a dial tone or calls will end for no reason mine has been turning off for no reason it can get pretty frustrating and to turn the volume to vibrate you hold down the V key until it changes

I like the phone but I am trying to figure out how to transfer music from the micro SD card to the phone. I have double checked the card has the music on it as it does show up in the computer with it. However I can’t seem to get it to play when in the phone. I have tried activating the external memory but I am unsure of what else to do…any suggestion?
