Quickplay: “TV and video streams grew 118% from Q3 to Q4 2008″

QuickPlay Media, the people who power your mobile TV and video on your mobile device, has released some impressive Q4 2008 statistics. From October 1 through December 31, 2008, a staggering increase in the interest in streaming and downloading mobile TV and video content. They say the numbers compared to Q3 have increased by 118%.

One of the reasons is that Telus made YouTube content available. Here are some more stats: Total streams per user dropped to 17.4 in Q4 from 19.3 in Q3; Average stream duration in Q4 2008 was up 1 second from Q3 to 2:48 seconds.
