what a complete cluster f***! i signed up as soon as the list became available and i have been getting more calls than before. the problem is that most telemarketers are now calling from blocked numbers so we cannot even report them and when you call the govt to complain they say there is nothing they can do without a phone number!

what they should have done is had a list of people that wanted to be called and sold that to marketing companies. i signed up in october and received a call from bell canada last week out of the blue. i have not dealt with them in any way for over 3 years so they have absolutey no right to call me. even the legit companies are using the do not call list to call people. this is totally unacceptable.

I registered for the DNCL and soon after began getting robo-calls for a cruise-ship package that begin with an annoying horn and then "this is your captain speaking". Those calls call from 000-000-0000, which of course indicates an attempt to hide the true origin of the call.

Our Minister of Communications has sold Canadian's right to privacy to foreign criminals in return for $50. Nice work Mr. Clement.

Is this an indication of how the Harper government can be expected to act in other areas affecting Canadians' right to privacy?
