Sony Ericsson patent looks awkward

SE patentWith all the touchscreen devices that are launching a Sony Ericsson patent surfaces that is simply awkward looking.

They have taken the basic flip phone design and added a hinge to the proposed model. Seems like it would belong in the early 1990’s not in this decade and makes the phone look challenging to open.

All we want is for Sony Ericsson to bring us the anticipated XPERIA… which according to the Rogers roadmap is targeted to be released by August of this year (we heard Q1 2009 though).

    1. It doesn’t look that bad; when big display is out you pull the top out and push the bottom towards the hinge, and when the minor one is out it opens like a regular flip.
