Motorola to cut 50% of its handset division this week

motorola-logoMotorola’s has been laying off it’s employees consistently for the past year, most recently another 400 just before the holidays started. It seems Motorola is getting ready to cut 50% of the entire handset operation this week. They will also reduce the number of phones they produce this year to 12 and focus their smartphones on Google’s Android platform.
