Canadians sent over 5.2 billion text messages in Q3

Text messaging has become increasingly popluar in Canada, numbers have doubled every year since it was introduced in 2002. In Q3 2008, Canadians sent more than 5.2 billion text messages, bringing the total number of text messages for this year to over 14.1 billion – that’s 64 million text  messages per day.
