The HTC Touch Pro was released by Bell today and we got a nice package by the talented Purolator man.
As reported earlier the Pro is available on the following price plans: 30-day:$599.95; 1-year: $549.95; 2-year: $449.95 and 3-year: $239.95.
We took the time to unbox this sexy device. It’s lighter than originally thought and will be a big seller over the next few weeks. At first glance it certainly has a nice look to it with the chrome outline.. and feels nice, especially when you slide it open to reveal its QWERTY keyboard.
We will have a full review over the next few days, in the meantime view the video and read the comments below:

Too bad it’s available only on a CDMA network and Bell. I could never bring myself to do business with Bell again in my life. Since there is no sight of the HTC Pro, Diamond or HD being offered at a GSM provider in Canada, I am seriously looking at an unlocked HTC phone.

I just picked up a HTC touch pro from bell today. I’ve known about this phone for a long time, and have done most of the research, but apparently not enough. bell had neglected to inform their customers
that they have restricted and removed features. My big beef is the FM radio.
Also they should give the option of the original HTC flo UI as the bell one is nice but not as good looking for the phone. Doesn’t flo really

In your upcoming review, please list the features that have been “disabled” by Bell and/limited.
From my initial look at the phone, it looks like they replaced the FLO-UI with a Bell version.

If you buy this through bell.ca, they are offering an additional $50 off.
When you go through the flow, you’ll see they are taking an additional $50 off the price if you buy it on a 3 year term

For those complaining about removed features, http://www.xda-developers.com will be your best friend.
They should have a solution, soon.
