PC Mobile launches LG 160 and “2Much 2Miss” price plan

PC Mobile has launched the LG 160 with a price plan at $59 alone, or with a bundle for $89 that includes a Bluetooth headset and car charger. In addition, they have launched the “2Much 2Miss!” back to school offer. This includes free unlimited text messaging for 1 month, and $25 start-up credit, and a $10 PC gift card.   1. This seems like a great deal… but don't dare try and combine it with the Nokia. Because apparently they've discontinued sale of the phone without telling anyone.

    The website still says its on sale. Most of the stores still show it on the display. But I've phoned and visited a half dozen locations in the GTA, and phoned the two in Kingston, and none of them have it. Some think it's coming in on the next shipment, the more aware ones realize they haven't actually seen one in months.

    Don't bother calling the Customer Service number. You get connected to an Indian call centre, where a guy very helpfully reads the website back to you: "You can go get it here!" he says.

    "No you can't, I was there yesterday. Are you just reading off the website?"

    "I have the information sir. It may be finished."

    "…"

    They then bounced me over to Bell, who then tried to connect me to solo. Then they just disconnected me.

    I really love my PC financial services, but PC mobile seems to be a disaster. I'm extremely frustrated that I've gone all over the place looking for something which the website claims exists (and even lists stores where I can get it) but in fact, it doesn't.

    So very, very weird.
