Prentice asks Bell and Telus to explore alternatives for incoming text message charge

Canadian Industry Minister Jim Prentice was at a Conservative Party lawmakers meeting today in Levis, Quebec and has spoken up again regarding the upcoming incoming text message charges by Bell and Telus. Prentice has urged BCE and Telus to reconsider and explore alternatives to their plans to impose new fees on incoming text messages. “We’re moving ahead at addressing that issue. This is something that is of importance. I’m simply pointing out this is a serious issue Canadian consumers want to see action on,”
