Telus is going GSM and Rogers coming out with “something” Monday

We had a conversation this weekend with a Telus Manager and a Rogers Manager that we thought are important.

1. Telus is leaving its CDMA roots and changing over to GSM. It’s just about timing now and what technology to go with.
2. Rogers will be coming out with “something big” regarding the iPhone on Monday (July 14th). We are suspecting they will continue the price plan promotion past August 31st and axe the rates they originally proposed. This is to keep its customers and compete with the upcoming Bold and Instinct releases.

We are looking to confirm these with other contacts we have at both organizations.
