Rogers launches “Wireless Box Office”

We know that summer is coming when the concert series starts to appear. Now Rogers Wireless has partnered with Live Nation and launched its exclusive “Wireless Box Office”. A service that allows your mobile phone to become a wireless ticket to select Live Nation concerts in Canada. For example, as Rogers is sponsoring the upcoming Simple Plan tour, only Rogers Wireless customers have first access to to purchase tickets to Simple Plan through the “Wireless Box Office“.

Wireless Box Office is supported on all Rogers handsets with a WAP 2.0 Browser and MMS (Multimedia Message) capability. Through Live Nation Member Ticketing, Rogers Wireless customers can browse and purchase preferred concert tickets:
1) Launch the phone’s mobile Internet browser and select “Music & Tones”
2) Select “Wireless Box Office” and find a concert
3) Select the number of tickets, input credit card info and a wireless ticket will be delivered right to the phone as a text and MMS
4) Simply show that ticket on the handset at the concert to get Rogers VIP treatment (The VIP treatment gets you to enter at a “special” entry” only for Rogers customers). A barcode embedded in the wireless
